Sat 4 Feb, 7.30pm - 9pm Stargazing at Maybush Copse A stargazing taster session in Chidham with experts from the South Downs Astronomical Society (SDAS). If it’s a clear night, we may be able to see Taurus, Orion, Gemini, Cancer, Leo and CMa. No equipment or prior knowledge needed. Weather dependent.

Tues 21 Feb, 11am-3pm Brent Goose Day Come along to enjoy a family visit for a couple of hours trying our fun and informative activities all about the Harbour birds and especially the Brent Geese. Art activities, bird watching, try a bird hide, meet a bird expert, youngsters’ play area, refreshments, cake stall.
FREE ENTRY, small charge for some activities. Harbour Education Centre and the Quay, Dell Quay, PO20 7EE. Roadside parking.
Fri 3 Feb, 10am - 11.30am Harbour Creekies: Black Point A gentle, 1 1/2 mile walk around Black Point and Sandy Point at the entrance to Chichester Harbour. Complimentary refreshments at the RNLI Station afterwards - please be aware there is a staircase to be negotiated. Fee: £5 per person on the day, (free to Friends of Chichester Harbour – to join click here). Meet: Hayling Island Lifeboat Station, Bracklesham Road, Hayling Island, PO11 9SJ. Free parking by kind permission of RNLI.
Sat 25 Feb, 10am - 12.30pm Harbour Hares: Chidham A faster-paced, 5 mile walk of the Chidham shoreline taking in three splendid views: Nutbourne Bay, the main harbour channel, and Bosham. The paths may be muddy and some are well worn. Bring a snack for elevenses. Fee: £5 per person on the day, (free to Friends of Chichester Harbour to join click here). Meet: Cobnor Amenity Car Park (free). Take Chidham Lane to its southerly point and the entrance to the car park is at the point where the road turns to the right.
Sun 12 Feb, 9am - 10.30am Birdwatching at Nutbourne Bay Features: A stroll to look for and identify the Harbour birds. Bring binoculars. No dogs please. Early start due to the tide. Fee: £5 per person on the day. Meet: By the gate in Farm Lane, Nutbourne, PO18 8SA. Roadside parking.
About Solar Heritage
Solar Heritage is a 14 metre, solar powered catamaran licensed for public boat trips. She can carry up to 50 passengers. The boat is open-sided for unimpeded views so warm clothing and wet weather gear is advised. There is a toilet onboard and the boat is ﬁtted with a wheelchair lift.
Numbers are limited so booking in advance is essential.
