Mud Rescue Demonstration

Features: A demonstration by the Coastguard, with commentary, of the procedures they follow to rescue a casualty stuck in the Harbour mud.

Fee: donations welcome to the Coastguard Association which looks after the volunteer Coastguard officers.

Meet: outside Chichester Yacht Club, Chichester Marina, PO20 7EJ. Free parking by kind permission of the Club.

Planning in Chichester Harbour

Features: A talk by Planning Officer Steve Lawrence on planning principles and issues in Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Fee: £3 booking essential.

Features: Listen to and learn the songs of birds in the hedgerows along the shoreline.

Harbour Hares: Four Harbour Creeks

Features: A linear 11 mile walk from Emsworth to Chichester, passing through Prinsted, Nutbourne, Chidham, Bosham and Fishbourne along the way. Return by public bus. Bring snacks, packed lunch and a bus pass if you have one.

Wildlife Discovery

Take in the beauty of Chichester Harbour as your skipper, an accredited wildlife safe operator, will aim to get you close to some of our wildlife which hopefully will include Harbour Seals and a variety of birds.
